# Swap

## **What is Swap?** <a href="#what-is-swap" id="what-is-swap"></a>

A swap in cryptocurrency is the process of exchanging one token(fan token) for another, typically using a decentralized exchange (DEX) such as FanX. Swaps allow users to trade tokens directly without intermediaries, leveraging liquidity pools to facilitate these trades.

**Transaction Fee**

FanX Protocol takes a 0.3% swap fee on all trades.

* 0.15% flows to FanX treasury
* 0.15% distributed to LPs for providing liquidity to the pool

**Prerequisite**

1. A MetaMask wallet or any other Web3 wallet.
2. You need to have CHZ on Chiliz Chain in your wallet for swap and the gas fee.

### Step-by-Step Guide <a href="#step-by-step-guide" id="step-by-step-guide"></a>

1. Go to: <https://app.fanx.xyz/trade> and Connect Wallet, refer to [this page](https://app.gitbook.com/o/qMzScKT0sjHHDDrav65V/s/6nMCuiBX7YfVJ4DbM0Fy/~/changes/10/fanx-user-guide/adding-chiliz-chain).
2. Select the assets you want to swap.

4. After selecting the assets you want to swap, click the "SWAP" button.

5. Click "CONTINUE IN YOUR WALLET" to continue your transaction.

6. Click on Confirm.

7. Your transaction has been completed.
